The ability cards in Tunic are collectibles that are scattered all around the map and in different portal areas. Getting to these areas sometimes is harder than you think. You will need to go through some tight spaces where you think you’d normally not be able to get in.

Tunic: All 16 Ability Cards Locations Guide
Lucky Cup
This Ability Card is located in the overworld, just west of the teleportation area. Here you need to cross the wooden bridge that comes on your western side, and take the first wooden stairs you see on your right.
When you drop down, continue going west where you will need to go down towards a zig-zag pattern path and continue going south until you reach some stairs that will lead you to descend.
When you reach the stairs, descend and continue going west. At the end of the road, you will see a small hill that you can climb and there will be a chest at the end of the hill.
Open up the chest where you will find the Ability Card.
Inverted Ash
This ability card is located in the overworld, to get to this area, follow the path as you would normally go for the last ability card, but instead of going south on the zig-zag road, you will see some wooden planks on the side.
Go past the wooden planks and take the stairs that will lead you up towards a giant wall that can be walked around the west side.
Continue following the road where you will find a chest on the right side of the wall that you can loot. Inside the chest, there will be the next ability card.
Fire Sword
This ability card is located in the overworld, from the starting location turn south and follows the stairs that will take you down.
Continue walking down the stairs until you reach the bottom and on your east side you will see a lot of bushes.
Continue following the road until you reach a stone gate that is closed. You will need to perform a specific movement in order to open the stone gate.
To open the gate, you will need to press these specific buttons on your D-Pad:
- Down -> Right -> Up -> Left -> Up -> Right
This movement will open up the stone gate and allow you to enter the area.
Once you enter the area, you will see a small room with three different chests. The Ability Card is located in the middle chest.
Louder Echo
To get this ability card, you will need to go to the overworld and go to the west side stairs, drop down the stairs and turn right where you will need to circle a waterfall.
When you go behind the waterfall, continue following the road as it takes you to the location that you need to be. If you follow the path that is given, you will end up at this exact location where there are stairs.
You need to interact with the stairs and dropdown.
Going down the stairs will lead you Under the Well. Inside this area, you will have also a simple road to follow and you will end up entering a room where there is some water on the floor.
You will enter a room where you can pick a safe point and enter the next area on the northwest side.
Passing this room will lead you to a similar room where the other entrance is on the other side. Once you pass that room, you will enter an area where there is a pink stripe on the floor.
Follow the pink strip on the floor and the north side you will find an entrance where it will lead you inside a secret room with a chest inside.
Inside the chest, you will find the ability card.
Orange Peril Ring
This ability card can be found in the overworld, to get to this location, start following the first path from the last ability card that you were, and before the second waterfall, you must turn right and enter a cave.
Here you will enter the Dark Tomb where the path is pretty straightforward. You will encounter several traps on your way so be careful where you step.
The area will be dark and you will need to hit two pillars that will break and get you access to the chest where you will find the ability card.
Cyan Peril Ring
The Cyan Peril Ring ability card can be found in the overworld. Follow the path as you would for the last ability card, and enter the Dark Tomb again.
Continue going straight into the tomb and attack both eye glowing statues. Once you’ve done that, you will see a staircase that you can drop down into.
Drop down the staircase and continue going west until you reach a different area with zig-zag pattern stairs that you will go down to.
Continue proceeding towards the next room on that floor. Be careful in this area as there are traps that can kill you.
Following the path will lead you to a bright light shining room where you will enter and encounter some pink stripes on the ground and a giant pink stone in the middle.
You will eventually get out of the tomb and begin to follow the pink stripe that is engraved on the wall.
Follow the arrows until you reach this specific area where you need to turn and go on a small cliff around the area.
Following the hidden road will lead you to the chest that cannot be seen and loot it. Inside you will find the ability card.
Muffling Bell
This ability card is located on the overworld, start going east from the spawn point and climb some stairs.
Follow the road until you reach some stairs, from here you will need to follow this secret path that will lead you to a cave.
When you enter the cave, take the first road that will lead you down on your southeast side.
Continue going north until you reach the pink stripes on the ground.
When you get to this location, move west and follow the pink stripe on the ground. At the end of the road, you will see some stairs that can lead you down to a lower area.
The walls on the lower floor will be covered in wooden boxes. Break the wooden boxed and go through the crack of the wall.
Continue following the road which is a mix of water and stone. There will be several rooms that you will enter and go through.
As you pass the rooms, you will find a waterfall that you can go through, and in there you will find the chest with the ability card.
Anklet
This ability card can be found at the Forest Fortress.
Continue going north and follow the pink strip, pass the wooden bridge you will find a giant room that you need to enter.
Continue going east and pass different rooms until you stumble upon this specific area, go on the left side of the statue where you will find the chest with the ability card inside.
Magic Echo
Go into the Ruined Atoll teleport that can be found in the area with 6 different portal rooms, and enter the portal on the southwest side.
When you enter this area, go south and you will need to proceed on the western side of the stairs and continue going south again.
Pass the tight bridge that you will stumble upon and continue going south and following the road.
You will then find some stairs that you need to climb up and on the side, you will see the chest with the ability card.
Tincture
Inside the Ruined Atoll again you will find this ability card. From the first stairs that you take on the west side, turn around and walk behind them where you will enter a secret passage.
Follow the secret passage that will lead you around the island, on your way you will fight some mobs. In this specific area, shown on the screen, you will need to fight the mob shown in the image and continue forward.
On the other side of the path, you will find a chest with the ability card inside.
The Bone
This ability card is located in the Ruined Atoll area, drop down on the west side of the stairs until you reach a hook that you will need to hook yourself to it and pass some obstacles.
Hook until you reach the other smaller island and follow the path. Once you reach this specific area, select the throw-able dynamite and throw it at the wall where a secret room will be revealed.
Enter the room and loot the chest with the ability card inside.
Bracer
This ability card can be found in the Ruined Atoll area. Go north from the teleport and enter a different area.
Once you get inside the area, you will need to get on the right side of the bridge and fall to the ground.
When you fall down, continue going back in the direction you came from on that floor and you will enter a different area.
Right at the wall of the stone bridge, there is a secret passage that you can take to get to the other side of the island.
At the end of the road from the secret passage, you will find the chest that will grant you the next ability card.
Aura’s Gem
This ability card is found in The Quarry area in the overworld.
Once you enter The Quarry, there will be a long road that you will follow. There will be a pink stripe on the ground that you can follow to get to the ability card
Follow the pink strip until you reach this big room where you will need to pass a wooden bridge.
After passing the bridge, you will continue going straight forward and come across a zig-zag pattern staircase.
Walk up to the top and you will see stairs that you also need to climb up and go on the eastern side.
Climb the last set of stairs and there you will find the chest with the ability card inside.
Scavenger’s Mask
This ability card can be found also in the quarry, get to the big room where you last passed the bridge, only this time you will go on the opposite side and climb some stairs.
There will be a staircase leading up that you will enter from the inner side of the wall.
Once you are up to the top, continue going northwest until you enter this bright pink room.
Enter the room and take the first ladder on the right. Climb the wall and continue going northwest where you will also encounter a few mobs on the way.
At the end of the road, you will enter another bright pink room.
Inside that room, at the end of it, you will find the chest with the ability card inside.
Dagger Strap
For this ability card, you will want to go to The Swamp area in the overworld.
You will need to follow the path where there is a pink stripe on the ground until you reach a safe point location.
From this area, turn right and go southeast through some water and land, at the end of the path you will find the chest with the ability card inside.
Perfume
The last ability card can be found in The Swamp area. From the safety point of the area, continue through the passage and turn right.
Go through a tight area next to the iron fence and climb a ladder.
When you reach the top you will see the chest with the last ability card inside.
