First, you need to change the position of the reverser to forward as it determines the direction of travel of the train.
Turn on the Master Lights and Instruments light for better visibility
Set the Headlights to Bright mode to let others know that this train is on
Use the Brake Key to unlock the brakes.
Open the doors on the train to allow passengers to board and then close the door before departure.

Now release the brakes and apply some power to start moving the train.
As you approach the station, pull the brake levers towards you to start applying the brakes and decrease the speed of the train.
