Fully exploring Tower of Fantasy’s Astra region would net players tons of rewards, including a total of 24 Gold Nuclei. That being said, while a few of these Gold Nuclei can be found by just simply walking up to it in plain sight, most of them require players to solve an environmental puzzle or open a Supply Pod first before actually obtaining them. These puzzles include Tar Pits, Kerosenia, and Chow Chow Plants.
In this guide, we will be showing you where to find all 24 Gold Nuclei found in the Astra region.
All Astra Gold Nucleus Locations
Gold Nucleus 1
The first one is located on the southeast corner of the Astra region on a beach.
There you’d find a Tar Pit that you need to burn down using any fire attack. After taking down the Tar Pit, you should receive the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 2
The next one is located inside a Supply Pod near Rat’s Den: Squeaky.
The Supply Pod is located on top of the steel structure facing the open field below. Open it to get the second Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 3
Located near Crimson Pillar and hidden under a puzzle in a Small Stronghold is the next Gold Nucleus.
You would have to solve a simple puzzle here concerning the three Gloomshrooms in the area. Here is how you solve the puzzle:
Jump on the smallest shroom on the right two times.
Then jump once on the one on the left.
Immediately follow this up by jumping once on the shroom nearest to the cliff.
This should unlock the Gold Nucleus which would appear in the very center of the Gloomshrooms.
Gold Nucleus 4
The next one requires players to solve another puzzle. Head to the point indicated in the image above.
There you’d see several switches represented by wood stumps on the ground. You need to stand on them in this order:
First is the one near the tree with some small plants near it. Next is the one on the other side of it.
Then the one on top of the rock near the second switch.
Then the one below the first switch.
Finally, the one opposite to the previous one. It is just below the second switch.
Doing this in order will unlock a Treasure Chest holding the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 5
The fifth Gold Nucleus can be found on the north of the Ring of Echos. Refer to the image above to see where it is precisely.
Once on the point shown in the image, you should see a Chow Chow plant that hides the Gold Nucleus. Throw the object that you can interact with on it and it should spit out the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 6
The next one is located floating in the air on the river separating the North and South part of Astra. See the image above.
You would have to glide over the Gold Nucleus to get it. Just climb the highest point you can find and glide away.
Gold Nucleus 7
The seventh Gold Nucleus can be found near the waterfall on the top-right side of Astra inside a Supply Pod.
There, jump down from the top of the waterfall to a stone platform just above the water. Open the Supply Pod on top of it to get the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 8
This one involves yet another Chow Chow plant. It is located on the Eastern part of the Mega Arena.
Interact with the Chow Chow plant to get the Homi Grain that you need to throw on it for it to spit the Gold Nucleus.
After interacting with it, immediately throw the Homi Grain on the plant. You only have 10 secs to do this, so act fast.
Gold Nucleus 9
The next one can be found near Spacerift: Southern Ring Ranges. The Gold Nucleus is hidden behind another Tar Pit that you need to get rid of.
From where you spawned after fast traveling, just drop down some cliffs and at the bottom is the Tar Pit. Just use any fire attack on the Tar Pit and get the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 10
Located near a First Aid pod is the tenth Gold Nucleus. It involves another Chow Chow plant.
This time the Homi Grain is a bit further away from the plant itself. You can see it rolling by itself on the plains just within the area where the Chow Chow plant is.
Lift it and throw it on the plant for it to spit out the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 11
See the image above to see where the next Gold Nucleus can be found. It is near the eastern end of Astra.
There, you would have to climb a tall rusty windmill. On top of it, you would have to jump a bit higher to get the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 12
The next one is located near Astra Shelter hidden inside another Chow Chow plant.
Just like the previous one, you can find the Homi Grain in the general area where the plant is. Lift it and throw it on the Chow Chow plant to receive the next Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 13
The thirteenth Gold Nucleus is near Astra Shelter as well. It is inside a Supply Pod.
It is located on the very end of the large spacecraft stranded in the area – on the tip. Just head over there and collect it.
Gold Nucleus 14
The next one is located floating on the river indicated in the image above.
This one is pretty straightforward. Just head over to the area indicated and collect the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 15
This Gold Nucleus is found on a Supply Pod located on a Small Stronghold in the northeast of Astra Shelter.
You can see the Supply Pod on top of a small steel tower. Jump on it and open the Supply Pod to get the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 16
Located on yet another Supply Pod on a Small Stronghold is the sixteenth Gold Nucleus. See the image above to see where you should be.
Just like the previous one, it is located on top of a small steel tower.
Gold Nucleus 17
The next one is located on the east side of the Rusty Belt and is hidden behind another Tar Pit.
Once in the area indicated by the image above, look to your right to see the Tar Pit. Use any fire attack to get rid of it and receive your Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 18
The eighteenth Gold Nucleus is found near the previous one. It is on the Small Stronghold in the Rusty Belt area of Astra.
Climb inside the large tower located on the point indicated in the image above and on the very top of it is the Gold Nucleus. This one requires a bit of platforming.
Gold Nucleus 19
Located on the northernmost part of Astra is the next Gold Nucleus. It is hidden behind another Tar Pit that you need to take down.
From the point indicated in the image above, drop down the cliff onto the beach below. There lies the Tar Pit. Use any fire attack to get the Gold Nucleus it hides.
Gold Nucleus 20
The next Gold Nucleus is located in the northeastern corner of the region hidden behind yet another Tar Pit on some beach.
The Tar Pit is located behind some rock formations on the edge of the water. Take it down using any fire attack to get the Gold Nucleus.
Gold Nucleus 21
Finally the last Gold Nucleus. It is located near the previous one and is on the furthest side of the beach. See the image above to know where to look for it specifically.
Climb on the tallest rock formation there and you should be able to get the Gold Nucleus after jumping high.
