Slime Rancher 2 is the long awaited follow up to a beloved game. It introduces many new elements so even if you’ve played the first Slime Rancher game, there are many new and fun things to explore. Sometimes players want to decorate their bases to fight their aesthetic. Thankfully Slime Rancher 2 gives players a good amount of decoration options. There have been rumors about Fire Slimes being able to survive in certain lava decorations as it fits them, however these haven’t really been explored as much.

Here is what you need to know about decorations and Fire Slimes in Slime Rancher 2!

Can Fire Slimes Survive In Decoration Pieces – Slime Rancher 2

The main decoration talked about is the Magma Pool and Rounded Magma Pool. To craft a Magma Pools you’d need:

  • 5 Fire Plorts
  • 5 Radiant Ore / 5 Jellystone
  • 5 Primordy Oil
  • 2 Lava Dust
  • 500 Newbucks

Containing magma, you’d think they’d be suitable conditions for keeping the Fire Slimes. However, results may beg to differ.

You can place your Fire Slimes in the Magma Pools and see that they’re doing ok inside them. However, when sleeping and moving on to the next day, you’ll notice that they’re no longer there and have despawned.

The sad truth is that Magma Pools are only for decoration and that Fire Slimes can’t survive in them. If you want to keep Fire Slimes then you will need to keep them in an Incinerator.

The only lava that can house them is the lava found out in the wild.
