The first thing that you need to do is press the PlayStation Button on your controller to access the Quick Menu. Navigate to the Power settings and select the Turn off PS5 option to shut down the console.
Wait for the console to power off and when the light is completely turned off, hold down the power button on the PS5. You will first hear a beep sound and another beeping sound 15 seconds later indicating that your console is ready to boot into the Safe Mode.

Now press the PlayStation button on your controller and use the D-Pad to navigate through the Safe Mode menu. Scroll down and select Option-5: Restore Default Settings by pressing the Rectangle button.
Choosing this option will reset the parental controls on your PS5 and also remove the passcode that you have set to access it. You will need to log back in using your email address and password on your Playstation account.
