If you are looking to annihilate large groups of zombies in Project Zomboids then the Molotov is the perfect weapon for you. By crafting this incendiary, you can survive in critical situations and avoid getting bitten by zombies.
This guide will tell you how to craft and use a Molotov in the game.
Molotov Cocktail Guide
To craft the Molotov cocktail, you need to access the crafting menu located in the general tab. The Molotov Cocktail can be crafted using Gas Cans, Empty Bottles and Denim Strips. You can use either Wine or Bourbon empty bottles to make it work.

In case you don’t have the materials above, you can also use a Bourbon Bottle, Dirty Rag or Ripped Sheets. Once you have all the required ingredients, press the Craft button and wait for the process to complete.
Now equip the Molotov Cocktail in the Primary slot and a Lighter in the secondary slot. Do note that you must use a Lighter not matches for lighting up the Molotovs.

How To Throw A Molotov in Project Zomboid
To aim, hold the right mouse button and then aim at the desired location where you wish to throw the Molotov by pointing it with the cursor. Press left click to throw the Molotov and it will set the zombies in that location on fire. Be careful as the aiming mechanic can be quite inaccurate at times.
The Molotov itself does not cause any impact damage however it does set objects on fire which can be useful for blocking off an area or preventing zombies from attacking you. This fire can spread quickly and can even cause burns if you are not careful.
Make sure to maintain proper distance and not throw Molotovs at trees as they remain unaffected. The fire caused due to the Molotov can slow down zombies and stop them in their tracks.
