How To Fix The Queue Time Problem – Overwatch 2

Because Overwatch 2 is a highly anticipated free-to-play game, it’s known that there could be some server issues, and there is no way to stress test a game properly before it launches.

However, to fix the problem with queue time, there are a few methods that might work for you.

Update Battle.net Client

Firs that you need to do is to open up Battle.net and up to the top left, on the battle.net icon, there will be in green that says needs to restart an update. You want to make sure you restart and update the Battle.net client.

That will drop it from 20.000 players to 0 in the queue.

Update GPU Drivers

If you have an Nvidia graphic card, open the GeForce Experience and then go to Drivers menu from the bar.

If there are any drivers available to download, press the button on the top right corner to download and then install the driver.

Many of the players don’t update the drivers regularly and it leads to problems when launching any game.


While installing the driver, you will notice that the driver is based on Overwatch 2.

Once the installation is done, make sure to restart your pc and then try to launch the game. However, after some time, you have to be let join into the game.

Change Server Region

  • Open your Battle.net client and click on the globe icon next to Overwatch 2 at the bottom left of the screen.
  • If you play on the American server, then switch to Europe or Asia.

In the queue time, you will notice that the number of players is reduced than before and eventually you have to log into the game.

The queue times mostly depend on the peak players that are on at the specific time, because it’s normal for the server to get busier during the daytime.

However, the changing region might affect your latency, but anyway you will be able to log into the game and bypass the queue time.
