My Time at Sandrock: Fishing Guide

The fishing activity, called Sandfishing is not that difficult, but there are a few hidden mechanics that you should know about before you get started.

First, you need to build your own trap. The basic sandfish trap you can make immediately after the Owen is going to give you a guest in order to unlock this trap, then you will be able to build your own sand trap at your assembly bench.

After you complete the quest the trap will be available to build which requires pretty easy items to craft.

Before you start fishing, you have to collect some baits which are actually the sandworms that are popping up in the desert or you can just buy them from the store to get them quickly and easy.

Once you have your trap and the baits, you have to go to the fishing spots. They can be found on the map like little circles of sand. Just go stand in front of them and the question pops up that you want to fish.

At this point, you will see some fish swimming around the sand and you have to throw bait out there. Throw the bait in front of the fish, and wait for the fish to make eye contact with the bait and slowly to start swimming towards it.

At this point, you have to aim your stand fish trap and once the fish get marked with a blue outline release your selfish trap and you will catch it.
