Allays are a new type of friendly ally that will help you gather resources by scouting the open world. There are two types of allays: miners and builders armed with pickaxes and hammers respectively.
You can task these little allays to search for a particular item such as diamonds so they can look around and bring them to you. There are various ways to get more allays, the first one is by opening more chests.
However, there is no guarantee that you might get an allay inside as these chests often contain random items.
The second way is to construct an improvement called the Abundant Allays at the Well of Fate. This improvement will not unlock until you get enough gold by destroying piglet gold mines at piglet mining outposts

Piglet Mining Outposts can be found all over the map and destroying these mines will help you acquire more gold. This method has a higher chance of getting you more allay as the items inside chests can be random and may take hours before you get an Allay.
