Outriders is a co-op multiplayer third-person shooter where players need to discover the hostile planet of Enoch in search of a mysterious signal. Since it’s a co-op game, it’s best experienced when played with friends or other players in a lobby. The answer is Yes, Outriders supports crossplay with players on PC and consoles like Xbox and PlayStation.According to a FAQ question posted by the developer Square Enix, crossplay is available across all platforms but is disabled by default.
In order to enable it, head over to the Gameplay settings and then scroll down to set the “Enable Crossplay” toggle to On. Now you will be able to enjoy the game with your friends by clicking on the “Play with Friends” option in the Lobby.
You can also create your own lobby and share it with your friends by using the “Generate your Game Code” option. This will allow you to share a code with your friends which can be used by them to join your lobby. The code needs to be entered in the “Join a Game using Code” option found in the lobby.
Do note that you will need to play through a short section of the story for atleast an hour until you reach Rift Town where you can team up with your friends using crossplay.
Outriders is currently available on multiple platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and the now defunct Google Stadia. PC users can purchase and enjoy the game on Steam as well as the Epic Games Store. It is a PvE shooter that includes multiple classes each having its own unique abilities.
