This guide will tell you how to install Battle.net on your Steam Deck.

How to Install Battle.net On Steam Deck

To download Battle.net on your Steam Deck, open a browser such as Google Chrome and Firefox. Navigate to this website and the program will start downloading automatically.

After the download is complete, open Steam and then click on the Games menu to select the “Add Non-Steam Game to my Library” option.

Click on Browse and then navigate to this directory /home/deck/Downloads and then change the file type to all files. Now select Battle.net-Setup.exe from the Downloads folder and click on Add Selected Programs button.

Once you add it, it will be shown in the Steam Library pane on the left where you need to select it. Now open the Gear icon in Battle.net Setup and then choose the Properties option. Click on the Compatibility tab and tick “Force use of Specific Steam Play Compatibility Tool” and select GE-Proton7-10 from the dropdown menu.

Now click the Play button to start the setup and wait for it to complete the setup process.

After the setup is completed, click on the Games menu at the top and choose the “Add Non-Steam Game to my Library” option. Click on browse and then navigate to /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata and here you will need to find the most recently modified folder that contains the Battle.net launcher.

After you find the most recently modified folder, open the pfx folder inside and navigate to the following directory pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Battle.net where you will find the Battle.net Launcher.exe. Click open and then press the Add Selected Program button.

Now the Battle.net shortcut will be added to your Steam Library, click on it and then press the Gear icon to access its Properties.
