Genshin Impact has had its fair share of issues during the last year, but to be fair, most of them aren’t really issues with the actual game itself. One such example is the insufficient storage space error 9907 that occurs. It may be frustrating to deal with, but there are clear causes and fixes for it. Most of the time, only mobile Genshin Impact players come across this error.
How To Fix Insufficient Storage Space Error 9907 – Genshin Impact
Now, it is important to mention that this error can be due to insufficient storage. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you do have insufficient storage, but make sure you double check how much actual free storage you have, and that it can handle Genshin Impact being installed.
The second reason why it may occur is due to exiting out of the game while it is downloading on mobile. For some reason, the game is then not able to rasume the background download. The best way to fix the insufficient storage space error 9907 in Genshin Impact is to clear cache and data:
- Navigate to Settings and then to Storage on your mobile.
- Tap ‘Other Apps’.
- Look for Genshin Impact there, and click on it.
- Find the option to clear cache and data on it.
- Then, restart Genshin Impact.
The download should then resume from where it left off. To be on the safe side this time, do not exit out of the game while it is still downloading.
It is apparent that this is an issue with the client itself and not necessarily the user or player. So, make sure to leave it open while it completes both the install and download phases.
If clearing the cache and data didn’t work, then I’m afraid, you should resort to more drastic measures, which is a complete reinstallation to the game. Navigate to Storage the same as the first method, but instead of clearing cache and data, uninstall the game.
Then, open up the App Store or Google Play, and download the game from scratch. Let it finish, and see if the issue is still persistent, at which point, I suggest contacting support.
