Blocking numbers in the Phone App
To block a number through the phone app, open the phone app.
For this phone, you will need to be on the dial or call logs page.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
Then select “Call settings”.
Then tap “Call blocking & Decline with message”.
Next tap “Blocked numbers”.
Tap the small plus sign to add the number you want to block.
A window pops up for you to choose how to add the number.
You can choose from one of your existing contacts, choose from your call logs or enter a new number to be blocked.
Blocking numbers in The Message App
To block a number through the message app, open the message app.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner,
Then select “Settings”.
Then tap “Message blocking”.
Next, tap “Blocked numbers”.
Then follow the previous steps of tapping the plus sign and choosing how to add the number you want to block.
Note that when you block a number on Android phone, you won’t get calls or texts from them anymore, but you retain the option to call or text them. Also, if you want to block your own number and hide your caller ID when calling others, type *67 before the phone number you’re dialing.
