The boys are planning another heist and they’re gonna need to hijack a military truck. Luckily, there’s a military convoy that they can stop.
This mission can be done by either Michael or Trevor. It is advised to use Michael as his special power will be useful for this mission. Here is everything you need to know about the Military Hardware mission and how to get its Gold Medal in GTA 5.

Gold Medal Objectives
Keep in mind the following objectives throughout the level to get a Gold Medal at the end:
- Head Hunter: Kill 5 enemies with a headshot.
- Sticky Strategist: Stop the convoy using a sticky bomb trap.
Mission Synopsis
First you will have to determine where the convoy will be passing through. The convoy will take one of two possible routes, which will be chosen at random. One begins on Senora Road, just south of Harmony. The other will begin on Calafia Road and travel along the Zancudo River before joining the main road.
Once you’ve determined the path, you can place down a sticky bomb on the road in preparation. The convoy will consist of 3 vehicles, a Barracks and 2 Crusaders guarding both ends of the Barracks.
You can time bomb to go off the moment that the first Crusader passes through it. This will stop the other two vehicles and cause the soldiers to attack you.
You will then have to engage in a firefight with the soldiers. Take extra care as this is an open area without any available cover. Michael is extremely useful in this situation as not only does he allow you to kill the soldiers quicker with his skill, he also allows you to get the headshots you need for the Gold Medal.
Once all of the soldiers are down, get into the barracks and drive it back to the meth lab.
Upon arriving at the meth lab, your character will celebrate the success of the mission and contact Lester. The mission will end after you walk away from the vehicle.
