Meltdown, the movie Michael has been working on, is finally premiering and Michael and Jimmy are at the theater to witness it. Sadly, Devin can’t help but ruin his fun.
This mission involves driving back to the De Santa household and shooting down Merryweather soldiers trying to harm the De Santa family. Here is everything you need to know about the Meltdown mission and how to get its Gold Medal in GTA 5.

Gold Medal Objectives
Keep in mind the following objectives throughout the level to get a Gold Medal at the end:
- Time: Complete within 06:30.
- Pedal to the Metal: Reach top speed in any vehicle.
- Tier One Operator: Kill 12 enemies with a headshot.
- Headshot Rescue: Rescue Amanda and Tracey with a headshot.
Mission Synopsis
Michael is attending the Meltdown movie premiere with his son Jimmy. The mission begins with Michael changing into a tuxedo and being driven to the premiere by a limousine.
After a sad display from Jimmy in the limousine sunroof, you will arrive at the theater and walk down the red carpet. Michael will witness the glitz and glam of celebrity life, which is unfortunately ruined by Devin’s arrival. He gives some grim implications about why Michael’s wife and daughter did not make it to the movie.
Michael and Jimmy will have to rush back home to check up on their family. You will have to get in the nearest car and drive back home to save your family. Make sure to reach full speed while on your way there.
You will see a man grappling with Amber the moment you enter your house. Another man will be trying to take Tracey away. Kill them both with a headshot in order to get the Gold Medal for this mission.
More Merryweather soldiers will barge into the house. Take them out with headshots, you will need at least 10 more headshots for the Gold Medal. Make sure to use Michael’s special power to make things easier.
The next wave of enemies will arrive on a couple of vehicles on your lawn. They will be the last enemies you need to dispatch and then you can return to your family.

Michael will be ambushed by one last soldier in a cutscene, but Jimmy comes in and unexpectedly saves him from being shot.
The mission ends with Michael securing his family and making a call.
