Franklin has made a decent life for himself, but Tanisha comes for a sudden visit and asks him to save Lamar from the Ballas. Franklin comes to his rescue with some help from Michael and Trevor.
This mission involves a lot of action and gunfighting which may make Trevor and Michael ideal characters to use. Here is everything you need to know about the Lamar Down mission and how to get its Gold Medal in GTA 5.

Gold Medal Objectives
Keep in mind the following objectives throughout the level to get a Gold Medal at the end:
- Headshots: Kill 18 enemies with a headshot.
- Accuracy: Finish with a shooting accuracy of at least 70%.
- Three Way: Kill an enemy with all 3 characters.
- Time: Complete within 13:30.
Mission Synopsis
Franklin is relaxing in his Vinewood Hills residence when Tanisha arrives and tells him that Lamar is in trouble. It takes a bit of convincing from Tanisha, but Franklin sets out to help Lamar.
Go outside and use any vehicle you can find to head to the saw mill near Paleto Bay. On the way, Franklin will call Lester and ask for some intel about the area and asks Lester to contact Trevor and Michael.
The two of them will be waiting at a rendezvous point marked on your minimap. They will scope the place out and you can choose the attack positions for each character.
You will need to wipe out every Ballas you come across. You may want to stick with Michael for a good duration during this gunfight as you will need to land 18 headshots and have an accuracy of 70% for the Gold Medal.
Don’t forget to switch around the three characters and kill at least one enemy with each of them.
Cut through the saw mill and you will eventually meet up with Lamar. A lot more enemies will show up and you will have to escort Lamar to the exit. Keep switching between characters to get different advantageous angles to wipe the enemy out.
Once they are all defeated, Franklin will grab a car and drive Lamar back to his house.
Knowing each other for a long time, Lamar and Franklin air out their grievances but make up in the end.
Franklin then gets an unexpected visit from Haines and Dave after talking to Lamar. They are asking him to kill Trevor due to him being too big of a liability. Franklin is left with the difficult decision and the duo leave, ending the mission.
