Franklin meets up with Michael after the last mission and they acquaint themselves with one another. Initially going out for drinks, a sudden phone call from Jimmy makes the duo hurry to his rescue.
While there is a small amount of shooting involved, this mission will mainly involve a lot of driving. You’re gonna have to drive fast if you want to catch up to Michael’s boat.

Gold Medal Objectives
Keep in mind the following objectives throughout the level to get a Gold Medal at the end:
- Quick Catch – Rescue Jimmy within 10 seconds.
- Not a Scratch – Deliver Amanda’s car with no damage.
Mission Synopsis
The level starts with you controlling Michael, in a car outside his house. Simply just head inside and let the cutscenes play. Franklin will arrive and talk to Michael.
You’ll eventually have to get in a car and use it to get to Pacific Bluffs to save Jimmy and Michael’s boat.
On your way there, you will encounter a truck carrying the boat across an intersection.
You will have to chase after it and get close enough for Franklin to board the boat. The next section will be a mix of driving and shooting while you control Michael.

The boat’s mast will get untied and drag Jimmy with it. He will be dangling above the road on top of oncoming traffic. Steadily drive the car underneath Jimmy to catch him, doing so under 10 seconds is a Gold Medal Objective.
During the ensuing chase sequence, the car Michael is driving will have engine troubles. Get close enough to the truck one last time so that Franklin can jump back onto the car.
He’ll comment that they’ll have to give up chasing the boat due to the car’s failing engine.
Franklin will mention he knows of a place where to get it fixed. He’ll direct you to Los Santos Customs, which is indicated by a yellow marker.
Michael will leave Jimmy and the car to Franklin and ask him to drive Jimmy home after getting the car fixed. Michael will then go his own way and take a cab.
Drive into the Los Santos Customs garage area, choose the “Repair Vehicle” option and you can exit the garage.
Once you get the car fixed, you will have to drive Jimmy back to their house. During this section, you should make sure that no damage is dealt to the car as it is a Gold Medal requirement.
Arriving there will initiate one last cutscene, after which the mission will end.
