Michael and Lester are planning to steal from a jewelry store, and are planning it in the most direct way possible. But for that, they’ll need some guns for firepower. In this mission, Michael will have to hijack a police truck containing the guns they need and bring it back to Lester.
This level will mostly involve some driving and getting away from the cops.
Here is everything you need to know about the Carbine Rifles mission and how to get its Gold Medal in GTA 5.
Carbine Rifles Mission Guide (Gold Medal) – GTA 5
Keep in mind the following objectives throughout the level to get a Gold Medal at the end:
- Swift Getaway – Lose the wanted level within 2 minutes.
You will receive a text from Lester talking about stealing an LSPD truck with some guns in it. This will be a moving target and so you will have to be quick when intercepting it.
Do all that you can to stop the car like driving your own car into it or even stand in the middle of the road and shoot at the driver.
When the truck is stopped, four heavily armed men will exit the vehicle. Shoot at them as they’re busy coming out of the truck.
You can use Michael’s special power to slow down time while shooting to make this easier.
Next you’ll have to get in the car and drive away. You will be chased by the police because of the theft and murder. There is no fixed destination for this, just do your best to lose the cops. If you do it quickly, under two minutes, then you will get the Gold Medal for this mission.
Your Wanted will instantly go up to three stars. Police will implement the use of roadblocks and spike traps and Police officers will be equipped with bulletproof vests.
There will even be a Police helicopter chasing after you. Going through underground tunnels would be the optimum solution to lose all of your pursuers.
Once the police stop pursuing you, you will have to go to a spot near Lester’s garment factory.
Michael will call Lester saying that the guns have been acquired. Lester will reply that they’re ready and Michael should head inside to meet the crew, which ends the mission.
