Modvitnir’s Mining Rig Puzzle
Once you get on the platform, you will come to a mechanism that is opening the gate.
You need to hit the golden circle and turn the mechanism that will open the gate and you can pass.
From here continue forward through the gate, and then climb on the platform in the middle.
Once you are here, you have to hit again the golden circles in order to rotate the big crane in the right position.
Make sure to rotate the crane twice, and it will be positioned in between the both platforms, and you can use the hook to hop on the other side.
On the other side of the platform, you will have to climb the chain and get up on top of the big rock.
Here you will find a big chimney and all you need to do is to cut the metal and throw your axe inside so you will freeze it and stop the burning fire.
Radsvinn’s Mining Rig Puzzle
To solve the Radsvinn’s Mining rig puzzle you don’t need much.
Once you come to the island with your boat, there will be a big platform in the middle where you will find the big chimney.
First, you need to defeat the several enemies that will try to stop you, and then on the same way as the previous puzzle, just cut the metal mesh on the chimney and freeze it with your axe.
It will stop the fire and you will solve the puzzle.
Althjof’s Mining Rig Puzzle
Use your boat and you will come on the other side of the island where you will find the Althjof’s Mining rig puzzle.
Getting to the big chimney might be a bit complicated and you will have to make your way there.
First, you have to pull down the platform with your chains which will open the path for you.
Once this is done, go to the wheel lever and spin it to lift up the second platform on which you will be able to use the hook and hop on the other side.
On the other side of the platform, you will see an explosive barrel that you need to hit in order to destroy the wooden obstacle and open the path to continue forward.
Once you are on the other side, you will come to an open area, and need to follow the white signs and climb up on the wooden platform.
Here you have to open the metal gate by interacting with it.
After you pass through the gate, you will come to a lower platform where you have to hit and ignite another explosive barrel in order to destroy the wooden obstacles and open your path.
Here you will reveal a new path where you have to follow the white marks and climb up on the wooden platform.
Once you are on the top, on the other side of the area, you will see a marked spot on the ground where you have to jump and break it so you will come to the lower level.
Down there, you will come to another platform that you need to pull with your chains, and it will lift up in a position where you will be able to jump on the other side of the platform.
From here, you have to go back on top of the platform, and use the hook from the platform that you just pulled up with your chains.
On the other side of the platform, you have to climb up by following the white marks and you will come directly to the chimney.
Defeat the several monsters that will try to stop you, and then just cut the metal mesh on the chimney and throw your axe inside to freeze the fire.
With this, you will be able to solve the last Mining Rig Puzzle and complete a part of the main story quest line.
