Fix Ultimate Edition Not Working/Install Problems – FIFA 23

If your game doesn’t work, or you have a problem with the installation, then the best solution is to reinstall your game, and try to create new files for the installation to avoid some of the existing corrupted files, if there are any.

Anyway, there are few steps you need to try before reinstalling your game.

Step 1:

To fix this, the first step is to download Visual C++ files from the Microsoft website.

You can find it in the following link below:

Make sure to download and install both versions x86 and x64 for Visual C++.

Once you download it, run it and let the installation complete. Now, restart your PC and try to launch the game.

If you still have the same issue, then let’s jump to the next step.

Step 2:

Install Media Feature Pack if you are using N version of Windows. You can find it on the following link below:

If you are unable to install it, then you should switch to normal Windows 10/11 editions.

Step 3:

You might need to install DirectX. If you have already older version of it in your PC, you will need to copy a file and save it somewhere as a backup.

You can do it by navigating to “C:/Windows/Syste32” and delete the “d3dcompiler43.dll” file.

To download DirectX, you can go to the official Microsoft website on the following link below:

Step 4:

This step maybe doesn’t have any sense, but it worked to some of the players, and it’s worth to try.

You could try to install free EA game like Apex Legends, run the game, close it and then try to run FIFA 23.

Step 5:

This step is something that we mostly forget all the time, and that is Windows update.

Go to your Start menu, click on “System” and then navigate to Windows Update from the menu. Make sure to install all latest available drivers.

Step 6:

The last step and most efficient is to Repair/Verify the game files.

If you bought the game on Origin or EA App, you can open any of them and then go to the library, go to FIFA 23 and then click on the Settings icon.

In the menu bar, you need to click on “Repair”.

If any of these steps didn’t help you, then you can reinstall the game and try it all over again with the new files from the installation.
