Digimon Survive combines elements of a hybrid visual novel and tactical RPG where players are required to survive a mysterious world full of dangerous monsters and deadly battles.

Digimon Survive: How To Get Betamon
In order to unlock new Digimons in the game, you will need to befriend them and answer their questions, your answers will have an impact on whether the Digimon will accept your friendship or not.
After you find a Digimon during a battle, select the Talk option as your first move in the battle against him. This will allow you to open a dialogue with him and bring him onto your side by convincing him.
You will be given four different options to choose from during the conversation and picking the appropriate response will help you gain 2 points and you will need 3 points to befriend a Digimon or ask them for an item.
It is important that you should be polite and respectful in your conversation if you wish to befriend Betamon and avoid insulting responses.
Here are some of the answers that you should select to befriend Betamon:
Q: What would you do if someone told you an idea you believed in was incorrect?
Answer: Get Annoyed!
Q-I’d like to avoid a pointless battle, if possible…
Answer: Then let’s retreat
Q-Looking at innocent monsters really puts your heart at ease, doesn’t it?
Answer: What a gentle soul!
Q-Is wanting quiet time to yourself such a crime?
Answer: No, but it’s not easy.
Q-If your friend was off causing trouble, how would you deal with it?
Answer: I’d scold them!
Q-How do clouds in the sky look to you?
Answer: I wanna ride one!
Q-Sometimes you should act on emotion instead of logic, don’t you think?
Answer: Be true to yourself.
Even after you answer all the questions correctly, there is still a chance percentage that Betamon will join your team. This will depend on the success rate and Harmony you have with him during the conversation.
Towards the end of the conversation, Betamon will ask: What do you want from me?
Here you can either ask him to become your friend or request a particular item from him.
If you are having trouble finding Betamon then you can find him during the Free Battle in the School Area in Chapter 1. Here you will encounter Betamon during the battle and use the Talk option to befriend him.
