The Whispering Keys in Diablo IV is a unique item that you will need to open silent chests in the game. These keys can be really useful if you are looking to acquire higher-level gear and improve your build.

Whispering Key Location
In order to obtain the Whispering Keys, you will need to directly purchase from the Purveyor of Curiosities Vendor located in different towns of the game. Once you find Lizveth, you will notice that he doesn’t accept gold like other vendors and you will need to use your Mumuring Obols to buy the keys.
Each key costs 20 Murmuring Obols and you can obtain these Obols by completing special events and challenges. If you manage to successfully complete a challenge, you will receive 35 Obols as a reward which will be sufficient for buying a key.
These Silent Chests are mostly found close to the Sanctuary and you will need the Whispering Keys to unlock them. You will usually find them in place of regular chests and they disappear as soon as you reset the session which means that you won’t find them in the same place twice.
