With every new season of Destiny 2 comes a new collection of seasonal weapons and armors players can get excited about until the season’s end. This past August’s ‘Season of Plunder’ is no different. With it comes a new and interesting Linear Fusion Rifle that goes by the name of Taipan-4FR.
The Taipan-4FR is an excellent long-range weapon. It shoots precise energy bolts and has more of a vertical recoil whenever fired. This makes aiming at the weak points of enemies much easier even when getting shot at.
Here is how you can get your hands on Destiny 2’s new weapon, the Taipan-4FR:
How To Get Taipan-4FR in Destiny 2
Good news for Destiny 2 players, the Taipan-4FR can be obtained in several ways. It can be earned by completing a certain questline, it can be crafted, and it is also a world drop – albeit very rare.
In this guide, we will show you how you can obtain it with guarantee.
Firstly, go to the Enclave on Mars to start the quest that will soon reward you with the fabled seasonal weapon, the Foundry Resonance Quest.
Take full note, however, that you must first own the game’s Witch Queen DLC and complete its first mission to gain access to the Enclave.
The Foundry Resonance Quest wants players to complete a collection of activities. Hop into either the Vanguard Strike playlist, the Crucible, or Gambit to defeat combatants with a Deepsight weapon equipped.
It should not be that much of a trouble for players, especially seasoned ones.
After completing the quest, head straight back to the Enclave to begin the next step.
Doing so will reward you an Exotic Alloy.
Immediately following the completion of the Foundry Resonance Quest, grab the Foundry Shaping Quest on the same spot.
This will grant you a deepsight copy of the Taipan-4FR.
Do not dismantle it just yet, as you’ll be needing it to finish the next step of the quest.
Now that you have the quest, complete a round of either Wellspring or Dares of Eternity with the copy of the Taipan-4FR you received just a while ago. Make your way back to the Enclave once you are done.
Finish the quest to receive your second deepsight Taipan-4FR.
After seeing through the quests mentioned above and obtaining your second deepsight version of the Taipan-4FR, you may now begin its extraction process. If you want, you may dismantle both copies of the weapon you have obtained to extract their weapon patterns.
After that, just return to the Enclave to craft your own version of the Taipan-4FR.
