Crates are an important part of Crab Game as acquiring more crates will help you gain access to different types of cosmetic items. These chests can be a great way to get new costumes and make help you stand out from other players. If you are wondering how you can get one of these crates then you are in the right place.
This guide will tell you how to get crates in the Crab Game.
How To Get Crates
Crab Game is primarily free to play and the game does not have any microtransactions like Battle Pass or paid loot crates.
Despite being developed by a single person called Dani, the game remains true to its motive of being fun for players and not adding unnecessary monetized items to generate revenue.

There are two ways to get crates in Crab Game, the first way being the daily quests that appear on the right side of the main menu.
These quests get refreshed every 24 hours and usually contain simple tasks such as winning a game with 15 other participants on the server. After you have completed the quest, you can claim your reward by returning back to the main menu.
Since it is a daily quest, you can complete only one each day and then you will need to wait 24 hours for the timer to reset before you get assigned a new quest.
While the quests themselves are pretty easy to complete, players looking to farm a lot of crates might find the 24-hour timer annoying. Another thing to note is that these quests cannot be re-rolled and you will be stuck with the quest that you have received until the next day.

The second method to get crates is by finishing a match in Crab Game. This means that you will need to stick around until the end of the match. It is worth noting that this method does not guarantee you a crate and is a bit of a hit and a miss even if you stay till the end of the match.
Even if you are following both methods there can be a few reasons why you are not receiving crates in the game.
According to the developer Dani, if the player is showcasing toxic behaviour towards other players in a server then his chances of receiving a crate will be highly affected. Signs of toxic behaviour include getting banned or kicked frequently, getting reported often and hacking the server itself.
While the developer has not defined what toxic behaviour constitutes, it’s safe to assume that the game’s chat filters can detect offensive words that can potentially result in the player being blacklisted or flagged.
While the developer has assured that players getting kicked by bad hosts won’t be affected by the move, there is no mechanism that can identify the bad host in a server.
Another potential reason for receiving fewer crates is that you could be hitting the daily limit in the game. According to a post on Reddit, the number of crates that you can receive daily is currently capped at 4 including 1 from the daily quest.
This means that if you are looking to farm a lot of crates then you will need to keep the daily limit in mind.
