Ark Survival Evolved has recently received an update that adds a new area called Fjordur with plenty of new creatures, resources and areas for players to explore. This guide will tell you how to obtain the Sabertooth Salmon for the Shadowmane in the game.
ARK Fjordur: Best Sabertooth Salmon Location For Shadowmanes
In order to tame a Shadowmane, you will need a Fish basket filled with any kind of fish and the Sabertooth Salmon is the perfect fish for this purpose.
You will need to head over to these coordinates 82.5 Longitude and 32.9 Latitude on the map where you will come across a lake near the waterfalls. Once you dive inside the lake, you will find that there are plenty of Sabertooth Salmons there.
Now to trap these fishes, you will need to put your fish baskets underneath the piers so the fishes get trapped when they decide to swim in that particular area. While this method isn’t guaranteed to work, you can also try holding your fish basket near the fishes or just straightway attacking them on sight.
You do need to be careful because even if you attack one of the Sabertooth Salmons then all the other fishes will follow you and try to bite you. However, you can use this to your advantage and lead them toward the traps that you have set. Just set the traps on one of the shores and punch one of the fishes to lure them where the traps are set.
There are also Mega Piranhas in this area so you will be also able to catch them if you want. Once you have gathered enough fishes, just approach a Shadowmane and feed those fishes to them when they are asleep to tame them.
