Albion Online is a free medieval fantasy MMORPG game where players can grow their wealth, forge alliances and explore the world to engage in intense PvP combat. This guide will tell you how to unlock a horse in the game.

Albion Online: How To Get A Horse

There are two ways to get a horse in the game and the first one involves raising a horse, bringing it to your settler and then upgrading it so you can ride it.

Do note that you will need to have Journeyman Adventurer unlocked on the destiny board to ride a tier 3 horse and it will take 9000 fame to reach there. If you wish to ride higher-tier horses then you will need to unlock more tiles on the board

In order to raise a horse, you will need a personal island which can be purchased from the island merchant in your city and once you buy it, you will need to upgrade it to atleast tier 2.

However, it is recommended that you upgrade it to tier 3 as you get only one farming plot in tier 2 whereas you get 2 farming plots in tier 3. Having 2 farming plots will allow you to have a plot as your Farm for growing food and a Pasture for raising animals.

After you purchase an island, you will need to talk to the Farming Merchant who will spawn on your island after you reach tier 2. Interact with him and then select the Animals tab on your left and then scroll down to browse for horses available with the merchant. It is recommended that you purchase a tier 3 or tier 4 horse as other horses can be more expensive if you wish to conserve your silver.

Once you have bought the horse, go to the Pasture which is the area where you will raise all the animals. There are nine plots inside where you can place your animals. Open your inventory and place the Foal which you have purchased from the merchant inside the Pasture.

The Foal will need some food and time to grow up which you can check by clicking on it. You will need to deposit food for 24 hours by clicking on the Foal and dragging the food to it. After 24 hours, you will need to visit again to resupply some food until it grows.

You will need to visit a Journeyman’s Saddler to create a saddle for the horse and you will require 20 of the tier 5 leather. Click on craft and the Saddler will create a saddle for your horse.

Your Foal will be now turned into your horse, open your inventory and drag it into the active section and then press A to mount it.

Another way of getting a horse is by purchasing it from the market and this is the easiest way since you don’t have to wait for it to grow. Just visit the market and type riding horse in the search bar to find all the horses with a saddle.

Click on the buy button and go to the completed transactions tab and then click on the Take Item button. Now drag the horse into the active inventory and you will be able to ride it.

That’s it, now go ahead and explore the world of Albion by riding on your horse!
