Update your graphics driver

There is a possibility that your graphics cards are out of date and are causing conflicts with the game.

To update them, go to your Device Manager, expand the Display adapters, right click the graphics card that you want to update and simply click on “Update driver”.

Verify Game Files

The steps for this may vary depending on which online store you get the game from such as Steam or the Xbox Store, however they will be mostly similar.

You can look for the game’s option to verify the game files, this is to ensure that all of the game files are not corrupted and are working as intended. Wait for the process to finish and open the game again to see if it works.

Disable Gsync and Vsync in NVIDIA control panel

If you are experiencing black screen, this may be the main thing that is causing it. Open your NVIDIA control panel and go to “Manage 3D Settings”.

Select “A Plague Tale Requiem” as your program and set your Vsync to “Off”. Do the same to Gsync as well and then click “Apply” to save the changes.

Restart PC
